About the event
Opened in 2022, the exhibition showcases the unconventional and often surprising mix of contemporary art and photography.
In addition to large-format individual works by Keith Haring and Ai Weiwei, the exhibition presents a series of works by Rashid Johnson, ranging from his early works to the more recent, monumental commissioned work The Broken Thirteen.
A second focal point is the exhibition Dirty Martini Photographs of the 1960s and 1970s. Around 200 portrait and paparazzi photographs take visitors into the crazy universe of various personalities who shaped the culture of those two decades. Legendary moments from the music, film, fashion and art scenes scream, “Those were the times!”
In addition, fashion photographs by Richard Avedon, Hiro, Steven Meisel, Tim Walker and Harley Weir are displayed, as well as artworks by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Elmgreen & Dragset, Doug Aitken, Tilly Joos, François Halard and Julian Schnabel.
