The art market, too, has been heavily affected by the current Covid-19 pandemic. Museums and galleries are closed, auctions are only possible digitally for the time being, and the most important art fair, “Art Basel,” has been postponed. What are the consequences of this development for the art market? What opportunities might arise?
In this edition, we will explore these and other questions with Prof. Yvette Sánchez, President of the Art Commission at HSG, Prof. emeritus Thomas Geiser, legal scholar and art enthusiast, as well as HSG alumnus Jonathan Levy, Head of DACH at the Fineart Group and President of our St. Gallen Art Club.
